World Food Day: Day of Action for Food Sovereignty

L1080200L1080193L1080250L1080172On World Water Day, the New Mexico Acequia Association, along with key partners, held a press conference at the Santa Fe Farmer's Market to bring attention to the need for a full and fair farm bill.

About 60 supporters attended the gathering. We shared a meal of atole, honoring our connection to our land, water, and food, followed by a press conference featuring speakers from NMAA (Paula Garcia), the Taos County Economic Development Corporation (Pati Martinson and Terri Badhand), American Friends Service Committee (Don Bustos), and the Northern New Mexico Stockman's Association (Dave Sanchez).
