We return to the 3rd Annual Ben Lujan Leadership and Public Policy Institute held at New Mexico Highlands University on May 19 &20, 2008. Our presenters in this show, Shirley Romero-Otero, Don Bustos, and facilitator Paula Garcia, represent the contemporary struggle of land-based people in el norte: to defend traditional rights to local resources (land & water), while revitalizing and reinvigorating land-based livelihoods and economies.
